A note on VAT
Silver carries VAT in the UK, which is reflected in what we can pay. Gold does not, which is why silver spreads are wider than gold.

What you need to provide
We are required to verify identity before buying precious metals. Three documents, and you only send them once.
- Photo ID — a valid passport or driving licence.
- Proof of address — a utility bill less than three months old.
- Bank statement — showing name, address, account number and sort code. Balances and transactions can be blanked out; we do not need them.
Include copies with your parcel, or email them to info@woodburygold.com beforehand. Personal data is held only to meet money laundering regulations.
Sending your items
- Get your quote and leave your details. We call to confirm the figure and agree what you are sending.
- Post it insured. Royal Mail Special Delivery covers up to £2,500 per parcel — split larger holdings across parcels, or we arrange insured collection.
- Get paid. Bank transfer within three working days of verification, free. Same-day payment on request for £25.
